The European project “Digital Entrepreneurship for Woman in a Digital World” started in December 2018. The four organizations – Digital Opportunities Foundation (Germany), Simbioza (Slovenia), VIPT (Lithuania), CTI (Greece) – developed a learning concept for vulnerable women as part of a strategic partnership. The concept aims to prepare women for entrepreneurship or empower them to integrate them into the labor market. Within the training course women gain knowledge of digital tools. These tools help and enable planning, organizing and implementing of own ideas into projects. The foundation’s core task was to develop the learning concept underlying the training.
In spring 2020, adult educators in all four countries participated in a train-the trainer course, to learn methods on how to teach vulnerable women in digital and entrepreneurial competencies. In the summer and fall of 2020, these educators conducted the training themselves.
After the pilot phase, the tested teaching and learning material called “Making Ideas Happen” was presented to around 20 institutions of non-formal education and interested parties from all over Germany. The project officially ended on November 30, 2020 with the presentation of the learning concept and materials.
The curriculum, the training manual, and a handout with tips for implementation and experience reports are available to any interested person under an OER license and as a free download. These can be found on the project website www.e4w.eu.
